So again, not complaining.Ĭapain Falcon doesn’t get a splash screen!Ĭaptain Falcon is probably just as surprising. I’m not complaining, I mean the 3DS version has Arena Ferox whereas the Wii U version has the Coliseum. The only dissapointment with this whole thing is that there’s no new Fire Emblem stage. The spoken phrase in the trailer suggests it’s tied to the Tomes and how many you’ve used. There’s no mention of the Swords being variations on the same moves, suggesting that Robin will switch between them at some point. But the jagged sword in the render is the Levin Sword. In the screenshot, Robin holds a Bronze Sword, with no special attributes. Have a look between the above screen and Robin’s render above that. The real question is just how the Levin Sword works. I’m not sure how exactly it works, but the fact he throws it away after a certain number of uses suggests he switches different Tomes, presumably in a cycle.

We already know about the Thunder Tomes, which grow through to the super strong Thoron spell. In the Fire Emblem games, Tomes came in different flavors and colors, whilst also being in different strengths. As well as a sword, Robin carries one of many tomes. Whilst I doubt this will be the case here, just the acknowledgement of the different genders is interesting. In Fire Emblem: Awakening, the player could customise their avatar to be a boy or a girl and alter their hair colour and body build. That’s four fire emblem characters!īoth male and female Robins are available – with their own voices even! The surprise for me in this reveal is two-fold: first there’s not just the fact that Robin is a playable fighter, but we actually get two characters, both Lucina AND Robin. One thing I don’t want is for her Final Smash to be Critical Finish. This sayd to mer her moveset will be very similar to Chrom’s even if it’s similar to Wolf where her Specials are the same but her Standard attacks are unique. In the screenshot with Link, she’s shown with her Falchion pulled back as though ready to stab with it. Her Standard Special might be very similar to Marth’s Shield Breaker, which in Brawl was more of a stabbing move. For example, she uses a flurry of strikes at one point, very similar to part of Marth’s Dancing Blade attack. Her debut trailer and images are interesting in a number of ways.įirst of all, she’s the first female fighter from Fire Emblem to be playable, and she’s the first female swordsman, or swordswoman.įrom her debut trailer, she looks a bit strange, almost like a clone of Marth. She becomes the second Lord in the game, and wields the Parallel Falchion, which is the future version of the same sword her father wields. She debuted in Fire Emblem Awakening easily the best Fire Emblem ever. She poses as a masked warrior known as Marth to keep her identity safe and to make sure the flow of time was not altered in a negative manner.

In the original games (spoiler alert) Lucina travels from the future to save her father from his defeat and to slay the Fell Dragon Grima. Then I saw a bit further in and… I’m super-excited! The “?!” in the Splash Screen made me think that this was part of a trolling and that Lucina wasn’t actually going to be playable. Then again I’ll never forgive UbiSoft for the Rayman Legends delay. Loved the bit of trivia but that’s still really annoying. Sakurai drops that RayMan isn’t a playable character but instead a Trophy. This is the trolliest post I’ve ever seen. Let’s start with the Pic of the Day for Monday. This isn't the first time Madripoor has appeared in behind-the-scenes snaps of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier either.Ok, so let’s face it: everyone who predicted Shulk was wrong. While some of these locations might be little more than Easter eggs, others could be important to Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes' trip to Madripoor. Since its introduction, the Brass Monkey Saloon has become a focal point of the impoverished Lowtown district and become a hangout for criminal activities.Įlsewhere, the site showed off detailed set pieces for a casino, tattoo parlor, and Stinger's Strip House - which was one of Nick Fury's top-secret bases. "Moon over Madripoor" featured Crossbones kidnapping Diamondback and taking her to Madripoor to set a trap for Captain America. Sometimes known better as the Bronze Monkey, the Brass Monkey Saloon first appeared in 1989's Captain America #363. The new photos aren't confirmed as the Brass Monkey Saloon, but the wall of brass monkey skulls looks like the bar's sign from the pages of the comics.
